silence protects no one
AND WE REFUSE TO STAY SILENT.

AND WE REFUSE TO STAY SILENT.

This is not a story we chose.
On February 1, 2026, two mothers and two twelve-year-old girls were threatened with violence on a train in Brussels, Belgium after being identified as American. The assailant referenced U.S. immigration enforcement before producing a weapon.
What followed raised serious concerns about emergency response protocols, institutional accountability, and the protection of American citizens abroad.
The individual was arrested and almost immediately released. We sought answers. We asked for transparency. We requested review of both the incident and the governmental response. While we appreciate the engagement and investigation that followed, we believe there is still important work to be done.
This platform exists for one reason: accountability and prevention.
We are calling for stronger response systems, clearer emergency protocols, and meaningful coordination when American families face credible threats overseas. We also believe the tone of our national and global conversations matters. When rhetoric dehumanizes or fuels hostility, real families can become targets.
We are one example.
We urge leaders, media voices, and individuals across social platforms to communicate responsibly and with care. Language shapes climate. Climate shapes behavior.
We will continue to advocate for transparency, accountability, and safer global travel standards so that no family faces a moment of crisis without clear support.
